Only recently discovered in 1967, Tanzanites are said to be 1,000 times rarer than Diamonds due to the fact that they are only found in one small mining area in Tanzania. Because of this, Tanzanite is finite and unless another source is found, we may see the end of newly mined Tanzanites in our lifetime.
