February Birthstones

To some, the perfect gemstone is one that brings out the colours of your eyes, the shade of your skin or the hues in your hair. But, to others, each gemstone has special properties belonging to them that radiate energy and inspire emotions in the owner.

The colour purple has long been connected with royalty, so it makes sense that February's birthstone, Amethyst, was once favoured by the ruling class in its earlier history. It is now said to help enhance intuition and meditation by calming the mind and spirit.
